North Dollar publishes plain-language guides to everyday money in Canada: bank accounts, credit, loans and registered investing accounts (TFSA, RRSP, FHSA).

How we write guides

• We link to the official source (CRA, CDIC, FCAC, the credit bureaus, each company’s own terms) for every rule and number that matters.
• We list the fees and catches, not just the features.
• Every guide shows the date it was last updated. Rules such as contribution limits change every year, and we update them when they do.
• We never promise returns, approvals or a better credit score.
